Shopping Hell And Other Stuff

Today I took my 15-year-old step-daughter (man, that's a lot of hyphens!) and my 9-year-old daughter shopping so they could spend money they'd earned. Supposedly they were shopping for gifts, but I don't think that actually happened. I think I was tricked into driving them all over the place so they could feed some chromosomal need. What a horror.

First we went to Target. No sooner had the doors slid open for us than they disappeared from view, reappearing an hour later - out of breath. The older child had to remove her jacket because shopping got her so worked up. No lie.

Then we went to hell the mall. Again, the sprinted off into the crowds leaving me to wander in and out of stores by myself. Kinda lonesome and boring. I did buy my wife a present, though. So I at least accomplished something for myself.

Then the outlet malls (another present for my wife.) Then Old Navy. Oh, lunch was in there somewhere, too.

I sure could've used some MENERGY today!
